I love all the Carolina pictures and of course they are special to me. Those bright colored houses came to Carolina Beach after Hurricaine Fran in 1996. Fran destroyed Carolina Beach, Topsail, Wrightsville Beach and Surf City much as Sandy has done to NJ and NY. The population affected by Sandy is much larger and more widespread (Very sad). I noticed you didn't post a sign from Carolina Beach so I guess you are saving that for our trip together to Carolina Beach.
ReplyDeleteDid you see any of the ghosts of the Grand Strand when you were in Myrtle Beach? They are said to haunt the shore... not houses... and I just wondered since you stayed right on the beach????
