The beach is on the Santa Rosa Sound
Damage caused by hurricane
Notice all the boards that have been replaced after hurricane damage
On to Pensacola Beach
In hurricane country?
Built to take on any storm...
This is a barrier island, a tiny strip of land off the mainland
The emerald waters that Florida is known for
This area is typical for flooding...we find out later
Miles of beach, no one around
Except for the wildlife
Ft. Pickens, built in 1829
From out of nowhere, we're hit by a storm
The road was closed after the ocean and sand covered the road
As soon as that road opened up, we were out of there!
